Irresistible

Straight out of the tin.  The Current Mrs Creel – appearances can be deceptive.  She has a vicious left hook.  I was trembling, all in white, a blushing thing, when I first met her.  My first sighting of her was on the Hoy Pier – on the tractor with her Dad.   A few weeks later we danced together at her folk’s house who had an evening party for Hoy folk.  Thank heavens I could limbo.  On our first ‘date’ (when I first succumbed – she pestered me for weeks) we went up into the Hoy Hills – way above Clicknafea.  In no time at all I was on probation.    I then got a job on Flotta and CMC departed for college in Aberdeen.   We took in the hay before she flew off.   I received a letter within a week then realised I had to learn to write.  By this time CMC’s mother was doing my washing.  Before CMC left for college she started knitting me some fair isle lift and separate underwear.  It never caught on.  Anything.
