Tolworth, Gatwick, Chiswick
When I was growing up in South London, I always had the impression that the city - or, more accurately, its suburbs - started to peter out as you passed Tolworth.
Looking at map, as you head south-west on the A3 out of London, it turns out that's not far from the truth. So I shouldn't have been that surprised to find that right next to our hotel is a huge patch of greenery called Tolworth Court Farm fields.
I ran out there, this morning, on a six mile loop that extended south down into Chessington. It was a beautiful run, especially the first half, although I did have a minor encounter with some brambles that saw me finish the run looking a little more bloody than usual.
Once I'd freshened up, we hopped in the car and drove to Gatwick to collect the miniMinx, and then turned back to Chiswick, where she'll be living for the next year.
The house she's moving into is a beauty, in a very nice location, not too far from the station. I helped unpack the car and then left the Minx and miniMinx to sorting out the bedroom.
After a quick* shopping trip to Sainsbury's we left the miniMinx to catch up on her sleep and headed back to Salford, arriving home in time to meet Yoss and Hannah for a bite to eat and a drink at Porta.
