Tea and cake

The day started in a promising way with sunshine but by noon it was raining and the rain persisted all afternoon. 
My friend C joined us for lunch and a chat. She remains concerned about her partner who has early dementia. However, he has at least now agreed to employ a cleaner so C doesnt feel obliged to clean his house when she visits him. Its a small but important step.
Later, Martin and I discussed plans for our forthcoming holiday, over tea and brack ( fruit bread).
