Flowers In The Rain

Foul weather all day, so this is very much a last minute blip as I’ve not been inclined to go outside unless absolutely necessary.
It needed two attempts to get a gym session done today as it was absolutely rammed on my first attempt. But I went back after lunch and, by total contrast, found I was the only one in there!
Blackadder rehearsals were in Heysham this evening and the roads were absolutely miserable there and back. I got absolutely soaked just walking from where I parked the car. We were finished in good time and though it was still raining, it had eased enough for me to grab a quick photo on the way back to the car. I blipped the village green a while back and it’s obvious that the village takes great pride in its floral displays - an opinion shared by the RHS judging by the plaques on the palette. It’s been created as a tribute to the artist JMW Turner, who stayed in the village and created a number of drawings whilst he was there.
I’ve never associated Turner with this part of the country, so that’s something new I’ve learned.
Every day is a school day…
