Blast from the Past ....

Called in on an old friend who is renovating an old cottage.  He took me into this rooom which he is stripping ready for redecorating.  Pointing out this signature he said "I think you know him".
Indeed I do - I went to school with Stuart Clayton, and the last time I saw him was a good few years ago, and he was wearing his painters overalls.
It was quite a strange feeling to see this inscription not knowing if Stuart is still with us or not - but good to see he 'signed' his work. My friend will not obliterate it - just paper over it for future generaions to discover :-)
