Best to gloss over the moat we now have in the back garden, otherwise known as the dig for the foundations. Already deeper than those of the actual house, the Building Reg's Inspector looked at the trees next door and all of a sudden the foundations are going down another 400mm...

Summer showers,. they call them. But from my window I can see the clouds have dropped down and hidden the horizon entirely. Hopefully they can empty the moat, tomorrow.
