RNLI

The Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) was founded in Poole, Dorset 200 years ago.

We enjoyed lunch in their restaurant today in one of their buildings in the Poole area.

Here they not only train volunteers from all over the country, but  build many of the lifeboats.

The photograph captures a small part of the activity; volunteers and trainees coming in and out on a wet blustery day, perfect for training in adverse weather conditions.
