Lala's Journal

Just a begonia

Achieved a fair amount today.
On the early dog walk a market was setting up on the green and I noticed a van advertising ‘CDs for Cash’. I had a quick chat with him and took his number. Back home I did some laundry and then attacked some boxes in the garage. I listed a job lot of old tools, if no one wants them I’ll just throw them, but thought it was worth a shot. Not long after a man called asking about the jig saw I listed earlier in the week, and he collected soon after, his having broken mid job!

Then the man fixing the door called, he had the bits and now I have a fully functioning door lock. During the conversation he asked where I work. Turns out he worked at LC many years ago, before I did, but his wife too worked at LC later and I did know her! Small world.

Once he’d gone I surveyed the pile of rubbish I had accumulated during clear outs and booked a slot at the tip. I’ll make sure to do any tip runs mid week in the afternoon when I need it next. No one else there and the lovely man unloaded the car for me and put all the bits in the relevant places.

Finished the day watering pots in the courtyard and some dead heading.
Oh, and I cancelled the dogs insurance following renewal letter -£165 a month! Fingers crossed he stays healthy, but the plan is to put the £165 in another account every month so that I have available funds. The Lala Pet insurance scheme!
