The Casino

The casino is one of only two grand buildings to survive the flood of 1940 that swept most of the hotels away. It is now mostly used for its restaurant, bar and cinema. I did once put €2 into one of the one arm bandits and immediately won €6. Not being a gambler, I immediately quit while I was ahead! The rules for casinos in France are quite strict. I had to show my passport and my granddaughter was not allowed to accompany me into the main room. I have spent most of the day on preparations for our road trip and now I will go along to support my tennis partner in his tournament singles match.
