Bob’s Oak
This is just one of the fabulous mature oak trees on the golf course. Known as Bob’s Oak because his ball ended up right behind it several times giving him an impossible shot to the green. He has learned to avoid it just recently, but we still refer to it as Bob’s Oak.
It used to take 5,500 fully grown oak trees to make a man o’ war ship like HMS Victory.
An oak tree can support up to 2,300 other species including birds, bats and insects.
