Wood-grained rock

I am ashamed that I'm not venturing outdoors when my fellow Christchurch Blippers are finding lots of well lit, great subjects around the city. I'm still catching up with jobs around here, re-registering our US car, sorting out bank statements and other exciting paperwork and putting away the stuff we brought back with us.

So here's a couple of interesting pieces of rock we found that look as though they have wood grain running through them.
