Fawn

I saw two fawns and a doe in the backyard this afternoon, so I grabbed my camera. When I got back downstairs, one fawn had left. I also captured the doe eating bread (in extras) the neighbor left in the yard for the groundhogs.

I've come back in the house with ticks on my socks twice now after taking out the compost. I wonder if the deer are part of that reason. You can see some in the doe's ears. I went to Lowe's after work to get some tools and find pet-safe tick killer, but it was sold out.

I did get the tools (needle-nose pliers and an adjustable wrench), which I used to get a broken security light out of a socket. If you recall, Jill's car was burglarized recently, so now I'm a little on edge. We have one motion-sensitive light upstairs, but the second on the ground floor would be nice too. They face the back where we park. I also have decided on a solar-powered security camera for the backyard, but I'm going to wait for a couple of paychecks.
