What kind of Hummingbird is this?
I think it might be a juvenile Rufus. I couldn’t find a humming bird with those two spots of orange on the breast on the internet. There are so many of these in the trees just by Graham’s house. So excited, a first for me!
We had a lovely first day, walking through a wild area to granddaughter Lily’s and her husband’s, Nick’s, house. We saw turkeys and a very well camouflaged coyote (which I have put in extras as we might not see one again). In the afternoon we had a great walk in Roxborough State Park which has amazing red sandstone rock fins (extra). Now, fighting serious jet lag, we have decided to crawl off to bed especially as we have a very early start tomorrow!
