The Breadline

In a rather rash moment a few months ago, I offered to host our Book Group summer social. I spent the morning buying food and baking for it. There was a massive queue for the Fat Batard (local bakery).
In the afternoon I met up with my friend Anne at Dalkeith Country Park and we went for a walk together, followed by tea and cake at Restoration Yard.
The Book Group social tonight seemed to go well, although quite a few people were still on holiday. Late now so I’ll catch up with all tomorrow morning.
