Hate Has No Home Here

I got this little handout from the Pride Parade on July 27. I've been thinking about the riots in the UK, how much hatred is being demonstrated by the anti-immigrant protesters and how much hatred against anyone who is "different" is evident in so many places around the world. I like to think that Canada is different, that our little island is different, but in reality, neither is. I will continue to be an advocate for diversity in as many situations and with as many people as I can. When I noticed this handout on the table this morning, I knew it would be my blip today. Well done to the United Church for distributing a handout with such an important message.
