The accidental finding

The beauty of the green gathering (backblip)

I was a bit tired today. Maybe it was from having carting stuff around and setting up the tent for the third time in eight days the night before. It's a big job.
The sun was beating down, too.

I attended some kirtan chanting in the Temple of the Heart in the Healing area, near our camp. The healing field is  beautifully decorated, this shot shows part of the small central garden at the heart of the field. There is also a walkable labyrinth, that is lit up at night
After the kirtan, I wafted over to the vegan cookery tent. A man was making mushroom risotto. I stuck around for the free food at the end, and delicious it was too!

Watched a Scottish singer called Colin Manson on the solar stage, and then hiked all the way back to near the tent for a talk on mental health and mushrooms, but the speaker didn't turn up. I went to see a band, then went back to the tent for a lie-down.  Bumped in to K, who was just popping out to a gong bath. Kay down in the sun to read and, before I knew it, I was asleep! Woke up and wondered why new people were erecting tents in a field near me!

Popped out again to see a singer, Nancy Ackroyd. K was there too, but the timing was awry. We never saw her. I went and got a South Indian masala doss instead. It was enormous!

On the green, some jazz musicians were playing, so I watched them, and played with some toddlers, until the children started throwing their bottles and the musicians were exhausted. I went back to the tent (I had a very good book) then wandered back to the Yoga tent to see the jazz musicians, the Pinkerton's, again. They were excellent!

Did a great deal of wandering around the whole site after that, watching the lights and sights, smelling the food, but I never rekindled the magic of the previous night. I did, however, walk the labyrinth alone at midnight. A meditation to remember.
