First Day Out
Today was the first day out with the new Sony Cyber-Shot RX10 IV. A bit daunting not to take the Canon and macro lens to a garden centre but I had to be fair to the Sony and give it a try.
It took a bit of giggling to get a macro. I'm used to a prime macro lens but with the bridge camera I found I got better moving away and zooming. Unfortunately that closes down the aperture from 2.4 to 4.
The result:- Well, I haven't tweaked the RAW file, other than cropping to an A4 proportion, denoise and a touch of vignetting as I would normally do. I've left the colour as it was, just so I know.
When I've learnt how to get a preview of the shot shown on the back screen briefly after taking the shot, I'll be happy but, so far, so good. I didn't want to sacrifice too much quality with cheaper (not cheap!) gear than Canon.
The more I use it the more I'll remember where the controls are.
