Ripon cathedral

We dropped in to Ripon on our way to our accommodation near Knaresborogh and discovered it was St. Wilfrid's Procession Day - a carnival atmosphere and a procession of floats, Morris dancers, brass band and St. Wilfrid himself atop a horse leading the parade!
