Two Insects ……

Top a black ground beetle ( carabus glabratus ) and below a dark giant horsefly ( tabanus sudeticus ) Thanks Google !
The beetle is quite harmless, but the horsefly can give a really nasty bite and is the heaviest fly in Europe. Been bitten by the usual horsefly before and that’s bad enough, but this one is something else, avoid.
