A Grand Day Out

In Minga we have the big money-spinning festivals like the Oktoberfest and Tollwood, but there are smaller "Dulten," like the Auer Dult.
These smaller fairs thankfully cling to the atmosphere of an old time fair albeit without the threat of plague, young ruffians and sawdust filled sausages.
At the Auer Dult this day there were the food and dainties stalls, antique and tat dealers, home crafted produce, iron mongers, fair rides, shooting galleries and a busy knife sharpener.
Wafting between the stalls, the smell of sweet fat and floss mix with the hot plated Würste, Schweinenackensteaks with onion offerings.

It being the last day, we expected the whole of Munich and surrounds to attend, they didn’t. This provided a relatively stress free wander around the site.

The elderly Princess Nana, Blind , Deaf, Demented and Bar(king) was conveyed through the fair in an unsprung baby carriage. She wasn’t the only one. We met several other elderly "Princes and Princesses" conveyed by similar means which sparked some wonderful conversations.
