Taking flight .
I meant to look these gulls up as they had red legs and a red beak ( I looked them up and they are black headed gulls ) . What you can’t see , just to the left , is a grey heron perching in a tree . The light was In the wrong place to get a photo , NC tried but it was too bright .
We spent most of the day outside with the children, the photos were taken at one of the local parks . We played and snacked , making the most of the good weather. Earlier we had taken the children to a bank
to get some coins for the carparks they we will be using later this week on our camping trip . Arthur was so excited to visit a bank and chatted away to the staff explaining why we needed coins .
It was his first ever visit , I felt like Mary Poppins !
He gets delight from so many simple things, and when we picked him up this morning he asked if we
could go straight to our plot of land and pretend it was a farm. He and Freya picked some raspberries, Shiraz peas and broad beans. His enthusiasm was catching and it made a lovely start to the day .
The extra is the first piece of writing Arthur has done at our house ( he is a reluctant writer ) it’s a label for our tap .
