Bliss

Well I've been absent since Thursday but all with good reason. We've been having FUN!

Thursday we went to playgroup in the morning then I went into work for some much needed web development/seo boring thankless tasks! After a hot stuffy day we headed up to LA's (an old school friend of mine) for a BBQ. Just me & the kids as men's football training was on. Lucky for us, LA's fiancé & his 2 friends were in charge of the BBQ plus they are all excellent chefs. Need I say more.

Friday was all work for me but spent the night with friends in the next village, we sat out on L's decking til late whilst the midges devoured our ankles! We had one drink in town before i headed home with the 2 pregnant ladies!

Saturday was glorious. My boy had stayed over at his friends down the road & was then invited to another friends for another sleepover, up the road! Us remaining 3 got the boat along the lake to the southern tip where we alighted and enjoyed 2 (maybe 3) ice cold beers in the delightful gardens on the lake shore. We then returned on the boat to meet up with my brother & fiancé to enjoy sunset beer at The A. Picked up a Chinese takeaway on the way home.

Today was another day in paradise after doing a few chores at home in the morning whilst the Mr played golf. Then sausages on the BBQ for brunch before carrying the kayak to the lake. D & LM donned life jackets but were no sooner 25ft off shore & they capsized due to a passing cruiser! Good job I wasn't looking! She was fine though (aged 2!) and once back to shore and kayak emptied, asked... "Can we go again?" It was soon 5pm and the BBQ is employed once more! This time we had friends W, J & Little L join us and we had a lovely time with delicious food.

Feeling mighty grateful for health, happiness & the simple things. (Wealth would be nice as well but will settle for the first two!)

A fabulous weekend. One that will stay in my memory for a long time. :-)
