Brambles

Today's the day ........................ to move on

There's been a Yellow Weather Warning for rain round here for the past couple of days and it certainly has chucked it down for a large part of the time.  But at least it was dry this morning for a while.

These brambles are at the flower stage, which is what you might expect for the start of August.  When we were out yesterday though, there were quite a few ripe berries, ready for the picking (and eating).  Perhaps they have given up any hope of a prolonged spell of actual summer weather - and decided to move on to the autumn stage?

I feel a bit the same myself .....................
