Tintagel

Not as much sunshine today so we drove across to Tintagel where we spent our Honeymoon nearly 26 years ago.

We stayed at a fantastic little hotel called Trebrea Lodge which was a wonderfully quirky place run by two fabulous chaps. The other guests were friendly, there was an honesty bar, the food was all local fresh and whatever the chef wanted to cook for you (although they kindly let me avoid fish).

It was sold a few years ago and has been completely redone and looking at the pictures it has lost of the character that made it so special.. We took a few shots ( see extras ).

Then onto Tintagel. Oooo the mystery, the romance, the legends... The terrible tackiness of the whole place. King Arthur would be spinning in his grave (if he'd existed to have a grave that is). Anyway the tourists (us included) are good for the local economy so that has to be a good thing.
