Day of rest

For some, although living here doesn’t seem like hard work in the slightest. Testing my barista skills from 10 years ago, I opened up the cafe and managed to produce some coffees which were palatable.
More laundry and checking the campers were okay before preparing some rhubarb and ginger crumble for pudding later. I’d bought a whole turkey leg and thigh, which I boned out and then wrapped it in some smoked bacon which was smoked here from the pigs which grew here. A & B were in charge of vegetables and custard and clotted cream.
After checking in the next batch of campers H, A&B plus myself and 5 dogs took a leisurely stroll down to Tapeley and taught Luna and Dippy how to swim.
After a tough climb back up the steep hills we were all ready for a good roast which we sat outside under the grapevine.
The crumble gained great accolades before Dippy and his mum accompanied H& I to Appledore for a stroll and a beverage at the Beever Inn whilst chatting to likeminded folk and watching the sun slowly sink below the horizon.
