Alocasia Amazonica

Or Elephant Ears. 

A treat to me from our visit to IKEA last week.

I’ve been admiring these leafy style plants for a while. My daughter has a lovely one with big dark green leaves with a red stripe hanging in her living room behind the TV. When I saw this at IKEA at only £9 I decided to indulge myself. I love the glossy leaves.

Whilst perhaps it’s not actually grown in a week it has certainly started to spread so I hope that’s a good sign!
