Eighties Legend

Backblip.

Amazing day at Leicester cricket ground at an 80s show.

Carol Decker from T’Pau was a last minute stand-in from China Crisis, whose vocalist had contracted Covid.

During this set, I realised I may have been rather optimistic booking general admission standing tickets and found enquired if I could upgrade to the “disabled” area…this was very swiftly organised and, at no extra charge, for which I’m very grateful.

Lovely Toyah was on next with a very energetic set followed by Paul Young, who, though I like him, was a little disappointing.

Go West, who I would have chosen as headliners, were next, and utterly brilliant. My favourite singer, Peter Cox, kindly waited behind so a few of us could get photos :)

Last was Haircut 100 and we stayed a little while but started moving through the crowd to get a head start on traffic meaning the bar at our hotel was still open and I could have a delicious Baileys Hot Chocolate nightcap.

The sun shone on us all day too - fabulous!
