For the family

Another new arrival

We are not short of babies on the estate, whether they are the feline or human varieties.

The day started with S and I heading to Stoke on Trent to the wholesalers to shop. I used to tag along when we were in Lincoln, so it was interesting to see what this one had, it was so much bigger. R’s still in Oxford working hard.

Home for lunch and nap time, before watching the Olympics and finishing off the next ‘Super hero ted’.

S came round for dinner, which was our delicious slow cooked lamb.

B & I had walked Amber late afternoon, but took S and Olive round the block between courses, to show S how much building development has gone on recently. It always goes in ‘fits and starts’.

We met up with one of the cats which scares the living daylights out of Amber, it was hiding under a car initially but when we came back down the road was sitting at the back gate to his home. I spoke to it as I was taking some pictures and a voice from the other side of the gate said ‘the very lady I’m looking for’. It was the young lady owner. I was invited in to see her new house mates, this tabby kitten and a black and white one. Gorgeous little souls.

The background to this tale is that the young lady had two cats when she moved in earlier in the year and one was taken ill and died suddenly. I met her for the first time the following day and she was so distraught. I know that feeling and tried to support her as best I could. She was so pleased to be able to introduce me to her two new babies today.
