The meaning of life?

Decided that it was time to sort my shoes out and was astonished to find that I have 42 pairs! Which is of course the answer to the question “what is the meaning of life” in The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. I could only bear to pass 10 pairs on to the charity shop, but it was a good start. I found that I’d already got another 3 pairs in my charity bag, so technically I have 45 pairs in my house. I will try and cull them again, but I do actually wear quite a lot of them in fairness.
