I see you...

I decided to get up to Happy Jack for a hike this morning before things got too hot. I took a trail down a valley that I enjoy and I figured I would do the complete loop because I'd never done it before. This squirrel was nibbling on something and watching me. 
I finished the loop and was going to connect to another trail to get back to the trailhead. Apparently, I turned right instead of left... I find the trail markers there confusing even though I had photographed the map at the trail head. I ended up walking 7.5 miles today and probably should have only done 4. Luckily I met some people that helped me get to the right trail to get back. It was pretty frustrating at some points when I knew I was going the wrong way and had to turn around. Lots of people use an app on their phones to tell them where they are. I suppose that would have helped but it irks me to need something like that. Anyway, I was very glad to see the trail head finally. 
And damn if I don't feel like I'm coming down with something. I have so many fun things planned this next week, like camping and my birthday and I have my esophagus scope next Friday. I think I'll take a shower and go to bed. Cross your fingers for me!!!
