DIY

I spent a good part of today building a bed with my friend's son. He's recently bought a new house but is the first to admit that DIY is not his forte. I enjoy this sort of thing so offered my services. We worked well together while his mum kept us fed and watered. The estimated time of 1 hour to build it was optimistic. It almost took us that time to unpack the boxes and check the contents but we got there and he is delighted with it. Unfortunately I forgot to take a photo of the finished item.

Meanwhile, somewhere south of Paris, my granddaughter in law was smashing her way through day 1 of the Olympics Women's Skeet qualification. A perfect 25 in the first 2 rounds and a 24 in round 3 put her joint top of the leaderboard on 74/75. Another 2 qualification rounds tomorrow morning and a top 6 finish will see her through to the final in the afternoon. Go Amber!
