Leaf Up In The Air

Though there are very few insects in the garden at least there are plenty of leaf cutter bees down the nursery busily making nests in the metal tubes in the skip.

When I put Mishka to bed last night there was a beautiful moth in her laundry room bedroom. I got a nice shot of it on the freezer but can't post that as it was yesterday. I got the shots in extras this morning. It's a swallow tailed moth. I've never seen one before. They're strictly nocturnal and are fond of elder and ivy, of which we have lots.

When I took Mish for our after dinner walk round the garden I think I saw a brown argus butterfly. We'll be hunting for it tomorrow.
