Caterpillar....

An overcast morning with some drizzle - yay!! So that lured me out for a local wander, although there wasn't much to see! The nature reserve was extremely quiet, and at low tide too!  Did see egrets, a shellduck, reed warbler, linnet and goldfinches.  Not many butterflies about today either! But this lovely cinnabar moth caterpillar was enjoying the greenery!

A much brighter, warmer afternoon and I've been baking again - the apple tree is producing apples so I've been searching for quick and easy recipes to use them up - today was apple fairy cakes!! And all I can say is Yum!!  Worked out very well so will be doing those again!
