Caterpillar

Lovely day with my old room-mate Kathy and her daughter visiting us.  I was surprised and impressed to learn that Emily (who's 17, and passed her driving test in May) was driving them all the way from Bristol.  We showed them the house when they arrived, had a cuppa and a lot of chat, and then had lunch, before getting out for a fairly long walk at the Cairn (Kathy was quite keen to see it, having seen all my walks and pics from there on Strava).  Emily made a new friend in the woods - this energetic little caterpillar!

Came home for another cuppa after that, and much more catching up, and they set back off for home in the late afternoon.  Such a nice day :)

Tim and I had a very peaceful evening, with our traditional Friday stir fry, and another little stint out on the balcony.
