Won't you walk with me to beer garden

The Rhine is enormously wide. I estimate it to be more than 100 meters. We did not see the Rhine much because we kept driving through the polders, over or next to dikes. Dikes that lead us in large arcs to and from the river. The arcs were created by how the Rhine originally ran. We chose the dike that was closest to the Rhine, but a warning sign stated that it was at our own risk. That risk is low these days, so we accepted that. The second option was a higher dike and (sometimes) the third was in a very large arc.
We only saw the river clearly in its width when we stopped at an old brick factory that I had hoped to visit. The museum was not open. There was a beer garden. That was enough to look out over the river, where we now also see cargo ships sailing.
