Cherry on the top

We have a little cherry tree at the top of the garden but it’s recently been swamped by the Berberis and Broom pressing in from all sides. No more! I got in there and did some serious pruning. And after that, I got back to my set of bricks. 
For company as I toil away, Holland & Sandbrook are now doing a podcast on the French Revolution, mischievously timed to run alongside the Paris Olympics. And later, a very decent TV series on Netflix. Eric, with Dominic Cumberbatch. Superb, though I see on IMDB that opinion is very much divided. Something of a drink that people either love or hate, like bovril, I would suggest. Cliche free zone. Yep I avoid them, err like the, errr, bad disease thing.
