Wednesday..

… for when there’s a minute…
It’s now Friday evening.

We’d bought a travel- sized paintbox from the shop at Anglesey Abbey on Monday. I liked it! This morning it was opened and Esmée and I sat in the garden and painted for a while. She has quite an eye for detail and wanted to do without any suggestions from me…D did some gardening. There were Teams meetings going on in the office and J was doing some specs for jobs. All good and quite idyllic. It’s so quiet here in this small village. Little traffic disturbance and the only sounds are good ones.

This evening we went to the Shakespeare College Festival and watched The Merry Wives of Windsor in the gardens of St John’s College. Well, I’ll have to read this one again! Lots of characters, lots of dressing up and quite confusing if you don’t know the story! But very funny and brilliantly acted. A beautiful setting too. Fortunately the sun went behind the trees as the play started or we would have been squinting.

A nice walk back to our car, and all was very quiet when we got home.
