First Monarchs ...

... to emerge.

We had our first two monarchs emerge today in our monarch nursery.  And there are several more to go that will be emerging in the next couple of days.

As we have done in the past we have released these beautiful monarchs in the memory of a lost loved one. 

The beautiful male monarch butterfly on the right was released in the memory of my cousin's grandson that was senselessly shot and killed right before Easter this year. Jordan Wells was only 23 years old.

The equally lovely female monarch butterfly on the left was released in the memory of our good friends cat Phoebe ... who she lost just last week.
