Another little addition
Latest piece by Terry!
Not done much today - had a message last evening from GP surgery to make appointment with MSK to discuss my results (that's the knee xray and the bloods). and the message also stated I was due blood tests and to collect the form.
Collected form, made appointment (12th August) , Terry dropped me off at Whiston Hospital for blood test, as I managed to get a cancellation appointment.
Too hot and humid to do anything much today other than calling at a shop for stamps and a p-aper then nipping to Morrisons for a couple of bits.
I kept glancing at the dust on the sideboard but that's all I did! It can wait.
Not heard back from PALS re me contacting them and still no appointment for Ophthalmology, which is a worry. I don't know what I will do if I don't get this appointment. Imagine having a cataract op which has resulted in your eyesight being worse than before and nobody can tell you when it will be followed up and you know your 6 week (minimum) course of eyedrops is going to run out some time before the completion of the course!
I really think the NHS is not fit for purpose any more. Another rant, I know but I am really fed up with how badly things are run in the NHS.
On another rant note - when I was at the GP surgery this morning, collecting my blood test form (which they had told me to collect but which was not ready) the waiting room was completely empty. How is this when you can't get a non-urgent appointment for weeks on end?
Woke in the night at 03 something or other with a thunderstorm taking place but Terry slept through it.
