Lady of the yard

Well, she's one of four females that have recently visited if you count the hooded oriole and two different species of hummingbirds (that I've spotted). Here she has come to snack on grape jelly.  Almost all the birds who visit love the stuff.  I don't put it out much at once because it's meant as a treat. I also don't put out a lot each time because it will ferment in the heat. It's probably not a good idea to have drunken birds flying around!

I posted a couple of back blips to catch up. I had everything in the camera but lacked the motivation to get on the computer. I can't believe we've hit August. This year has been flying by for me. I feel like I've lost a lot of time because of the hospitalizations and long recoveries. I'm looking forward to five healthy months to finish 2024. Cross your fingers!  :-)
