Abbey Island

Another rendezvous with my friend with local knowledge and we were on our way for a swim round Abbey Island. This photo is taken on our 15minute walk along the Mass Path to the start. It truly was stunning. The colours of the water, the montbretia, the heather and the fuchsia, just gorgeous.
Our swim was not a full loop, I would have had to walk a bit, swim another bit and walk another bit to get back to my clothes. There are not many days that conditions allow for this swim to be completed.
I drove home for a lovely long evening in the back garden, sunshine, BBQ, and fire pit later on. I love summer!
