SAXTEAD GREEN POST MILL

(Backblip) Last day of holiday and only chance to go and visit the windmill in the village, which was very interesting. Visitors were told we could explore all parts of it as we wished but I knew if I went up those precipitous stairs into the top part (first extra) they might need to get the fire brigade to come and get me down. I went upstairs in the lower part and even then, with partial handholds and trapdoors in the floor worn thin and holey through centuries of use, I felt a bit wobbly!
