Barrio of Urca, Rio de Janeiro

Our first trip to the barrio of Urca and, although just a 10 min taxi ride away from Copacabana, it has a different feel to it. It feels more isolated from the rest of Rio and sits nestled in the lee of Pao de Azucar/Sugar Loaf and the Urca Hill,with amazing views of Corcovado/Christ the Redemeer. Once again, it amazes me that I'm here, a Scottish Fife lass (and proud of it) and so happy to share it with my blip friends. It's the kind of scene that Chaiselongue would have loved. One day we hope to persuade LoJ to come here and enjoy bossa nova music first hand.
