Salad for dinner

After the enormous portions of fish and chips yesterday, we were craving some veg. So tonight (& tomorrow) it’s salad for dinner.

We had a very lazy morning. It was really too hot to do very much at all. So after a late breakfast, we drove to Street to the Clarks Outlet village. Jon’s idea of hell! We came 21 years ago. I don’t remember it. It was the very first outlet shopping centre opened in 1993. However, we managed to spend almost all day here, and it successfully relieved us of quite a few £££s! All bargains, obviously:-)

I’d taken a picnic but there wasn’t anywhere to sit, so we ate in the car. It saved us a few quid. Then after a last look around the shops including a delicious Lindt ice cream for me, and some haribo for Jon we got in the sauna, I mean car, and drove to Lidl for essentials, then back to the site to prepare and eat this giant salad. We had planned to walk up Glastonbury Tor this evening, but now we feel settled I don’t fancy going out again. It will have to be tomorrow as our last full day here.

Trying to get more writing done - as I type I’m up to 59,964 so I will hit the 60,000 tonight with any luck!
