Sun dial

A day of superlatives, visiting the stunning town of Issigeac (described as the loveliest in France) and also Montpazier (described as the most beautiful in France) and then to Monflanquin, also described with superlatives! None of us could agree which actually was the loveliest, they were all stunning with their medieval streets and pervading sense of history.

This intriguing sundial was in Monflanquin; it is very very old but they did a test between the the dates at the bottom of it, and found it had lost 2 minutes over the period. A fascinating and beautiful piece of history.

By the way, I have resized, rotated, resized, uploaded again...and still it comes up sideways!
