The blasted tower

I've had a lovely day visiting my daughter, her partner and my three little grandsons at their home. After a cloudy start the weather turned glorious once again, and we were able to enjoy a barbecue in their garden.

The short journey to their house goes through the village of Waddington, which has a couple of landmarks that I find fascinating. One of them is this broken-down tower. I like to believe it was destroyed by lightning, but who knows? To get this shot I walked down an overgrown, burry farm track, sustaining grazes,scratches and the accumulation of thousands of burrs!
