Final poppies

I went over to the Pipe Hall Woodland Trust reserve today to see how the wildflower meadow was progressing. and to check on the poppies. The ones on the main road by the roundabout are no longer attracting attention as the poppies have faded, leaving the huge field to the daisies. It's pretty - sort of milky white with pink - but not the car-stopping wow factor.

The poppies in the field beyond the Roundabout Wood are still gorgeous, so I chose them in preference to the flowers or butterflies.

The wildflower meadow is so frustrating to try to capture. But I did try again
Showing the young boy the burnet moths
such glorious flowers

I hope this wonderful sunny weather goes on and on and on...... please
