Martin Phillips, R.I.P.  I saw the Chills in October 1987, supporting Nico, of all people, at the fabulous Leeds Astoria. A great gig, I went out to Crash Records in the Merrion Centre afterwards and bought a weird, import tape copy of the 'Kaleidoscope World' compilation as it was the only thing by them available at the time. I've been re-listening to 'Submarine Bells' today for the first time in ages and it really is a great album...
