Thorny beauty

Thistle flowers aren't always very impressive but this one sure was! We're getting some whoppers growing again a bit like last year.

There's a big event here today, loads of cars, and what great weather for it! We've got it slightly cooler than inland where I think it's probably a bit unbearable. And it's looking like this sun is staying into next week as well - could it be we're finally going to have a summer after seven years?
