Rain!

“Sweet summer rain, like God’s own mercy.” From “O Brother Where Art Thou?” First rain today in 42 days, six weeks. The last rain was June 16. For a day, possibly two, the dust was settled, the hay trucks didn’t run, and the farm machinery was parked. The forecast calls for temperatures in the mid 90s by Thursday, but for a day or two, we will take it.
